The shoes themselves are some of the best I've come across. The only thing I find less than perfect (BUT! it's the tradeoff for a traveling set) is the stakes are a little small in diameter (1/2" ?). The fact that the stakes are split in half and screw together makes for traveling ease, but the sturdiness would be much better if they were 5/8" or 3/4" in diameter. Also would structure carrying case where two halves of stakes go on top for carrying handle and two on bottom. It's a little difficult to grasp all four halves together for a long walk to the beach...
