9 of 9 people found the following review helpful Very cheaply produced childs set, August 10, 2011 By  paul - See all my reviews This review is from: Franklin Sports Advanced 6 Player Croquet Set (Sports) I bought this for a backyard barbecue reunion. Mallets come up to your knees, and heads of all mallets are plastic and loose. Balls are lightweight, and plastic, not solid wood like in a real croquet set. Wickets are wire shirt hanger gauge and bend really easily. I broke not one, but two mallets pounding in the end stakes. All wooden parts (mallets and stakes) are cheaply manufactured of softwood. The storage sack is shorter than the mallets...so unless you unscrew the heads of the mallets, they won't fit in the bag. It is suitable only for young children, and would be overpriced at half the amount I paid ($46). We started a game at my reunion, but the weight of the balls and mallets was so light that players just wandered off...there was no distance control for shot-making. We didn't finish even the one game, and I was the butt of jokes at "getting ripped off".
