Maximum weight is 180 pounds.

Editorial Review

Just as Sea Monkeys are not really a bunch of tiny pink people who wear crowns and hairdos and create ersatz civilizations, so too are Moon Shoes something short of a personal trampoline experience. Still, if you’re careful and have expectations that are somewhat earthbound, these springy little strap-on sandals can be an awful lot of fun. Built for people age seven and up with a maximum weight of 180 pounds, the Moon Boots have adjustable bindings to fit up to a USA men’s size 9. They are constructed of heavy duty plastic but the construction is such that the boots look likely to stay intact. As for how high they bounce, that’s going to depend on the bouncer’s size, leg strength, and bravery. And we would certainly recommend at least caution if not padding. --Charlie Williams

Some of the other reviewers seemed to have expectations that they're going to gain some major altitude in these things. That's not really the intention... My kids really like them. When you jump around on them, it makes the jumper bounce everywhere they go, and they do gain a little height. But jumping (for kids) is just plain fun... this adds to it. And they're noisy, noisy, noisy, but aren't kids noisy anyway??? When they're outside jumping, I can hear them indoors... at least I know they haven't wandered off! We recommend them, as long as you don't think you're going to be able to jump onto the house with them. Also, be careful jumping on any slick surfaces, as a twisted ankle is likely to occur.

5.0 out of 5 stars my kids love these, November 4, 2004
This review is from: Purple Moon Shoes (Toy)
My kids, ages 7 and 9, both love these. They are NOT for jumping really high - they just make jumping even more fun. The kids had a hard time walking in them, but as soon as they figured out they should jump everywhere instead of trying to walk, they won't take them off. You do have to add more rubber bands the heavier you are - but with all the rubber bands on, even I could use them. Definitely recommend these!

4.0 out of 5 stars Made a great gift, October 4, 2005
This review is from: Purple Moon Shoes (Toy)
I got the moon boots for a very girly girl 7 year old who hates to get dirty, not wearing anything but a dress and anything not pink. Not only does she love them and spent three hours in them the first time outside, but she came in sweaty..covered in dirt, bruises and had the biggest smile on her face. These things finally got her into a pair of jeans! Talk about a great gift.
