My group of friends has been addicted to kubb for a few years now, so I finally bought my own set. The game itself is fun and versatile- no game is exactly the same and there is an element of strategy, which makes it more fun than bag toss or ladder golf in my opinion. The rules may seem confusing, but once you actually play it a couple of times it is easy to get the hang of- the best way to learn, naturally is to play with someone familiar with the rules. Seriously, who knew throwing sticks at blocks could be so much fun!?Re: the Official Tournament Set: At first I went to the hardware store, bought some 4x4s and dowels and made my own set out of cedar. This worked decently, but then my friends got really serious about kubb, competed in a couple tournaments and then picked up an official tournament set.
