This croquet set works well indoors or out. We used it on hardwood floors with some plastic pucks that we had. The wooden balls work best on carpet or short grass. The set is well-constructed and a good size for little ones age 3 and up. Older kids and adults were able to use it too so it won't be outgrown too quickly. All in all good value for the money.

Do yourself a favor and buy a REAL croquet set!!! For starters- there are no game stakes to mark the course. The wickets are cute and the wickets themselves are well made -BUT- the ground stakes for the wickets are a complete joke. Even in short grass, they are not staying in the ground...and if you do manage to anchor one in the ground with the midget stakes- a light breeze or a bump from a ball is enough to knock it over. The stakes are no more then 2" long and the part that goes into the ground after feeding through the anchor is maybe a 1/2" long. If the stakes were 5" long- it might actually be a cool set- worthy of 4 stars, but it didn't come with usable stakes. And as cute as the wickets are, it's easier to get a ball through a traditional metal wicket. Kid toys should not be more difficult to use than the real thing!!! Using it inside isn't much better. The second the ball bumps the wicket (hard floor or carpet)- the wicket moves...and trying to play on hard floors with the... Read more
