These were purchased for a 10 year old boy. He was able to get the hang of walking on them within a few minutes. They are well made and easy to assemble and adjust. They even came with an extension to make them taller once he's grasped the basics and wants a new challenge. I am always looking for ways to get kids moving around (and out from in front of a television), these do the job nicely and take up less room than a bike. These also adjust more than low enough for my 9 year old and the ergonomic design made things easier for her. A very good toy!
