Protect your slackline and the trees that support it with Treewear from Gibbon Slacklines. Made out of a special, non-slip felt, Treewear provides cushioning between the tree trunk and the webbing of the slackline to both keep the webbing from digging into the tree and prevent abrasion to the slackline's webbing. Designed for ease of use, the 100 by 14.5 centimeter pads are equipped with Velcro at the ends to hold them in place as you set up your slackline. The Treewear can be joined together to provide protection for set ups around larger trees. The Treewear comes in a pack of two pads.

  • Treewear protects the bark of the tree and slackline from abrasion
  • Durable, non-slip felt construction
  • Velcro ends keep Treewear from slipping during set-up
  • System can be extended for larger trees
  • Comes in pack of two (one per tree)

The velcro end is an elegant solution, and they're light, so they go with you, but in my experience they're almost always too short to get all the way around the tree. This removes the primary advantage over something home-made. They need to get cheaper or longer. Unless they start making them about half-again as long you'll need two sets to use trees in the recommended size range.

After a few uses I can see wear on them, but it doesn't seem to be making it any rougher on the tree.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, September 12, 2011
This review is from: Gibbon Slacklines Treewear (Sports)
Not what I expected.....I'm going to need 3 more sets to make it actually fit around and protect the trees from my ropes. $80+ just for tree wear! (Slackline only cost me $100) I'll just stick to using towels, these suck!
