The provided carrying case again provided a workable means of transport while on vacation. We did a search on the internet and found many styles, but Amazon.com had the best one. The one we played while on vacation was plastic and each of the rungs had broken in the middle and had to be repaired. This is why we decided on this particular purchase. It was all metal and very sturdy. It came in a nice canvas zippered case and was very easy to put together in just a few minutes. It is well constructed and will last forever. We have enjoyed playing with it many times and now my wife has gotten so good at it, she is beating me for the first time. I definitely like the robust metal set over the flimsy PVC sets I have used.This Metal set disassembles and fits nicely in the compact carrying case. We use the Hard Balls and this metal set is holding up just fine. Quality Control issues with the sets I bought- Base Bars: The 1st set I bought, had problems with 3 of the 4 Base Bars. The hole in the Base Bar was misaligned, it was off-center by up to 3/16" and made assembly to the Upright impossible. Because of the off-center Base Bar hole, the Bolt would not thread into the Upright. I processed an Exchange and ordered a 2nd set. I received the 2nd set before returning the defective 1st set (good thing for me). My 2nd set had two Base Bars with misaligned holes, one slightly off-center (useable) and the other 1/4" off-center (could not assemble).
