The good old Spaldeen hi-bounce that we used to play stick ball with. I purchased a case of them and sent them to Iraq for the troops to use to spread good will with the kids. The Soldiers and the kids had a blast playing stick ball, catch, hand ball and inventing their own games. Good high quality rubber balls. Anyone who grew up in the City knows all about the hi-bouncers. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Spalding Spaldeen Hi-Bounce Ball (Sports) The ball itself is exactly what I expected. It was a stocking stuffer for a very old BOY. He remembered them from his childhood. The only issue is that the ball is advertised as a "Spaldeen" ball - which is what he specifically asked for. We were kids of course and could afford one ball (50 cents in 1967!!) and if we hit it in a yard well ,,,, we looked and looked in hopes of locating it. if not ,,, well ,,, we waited for next weeks allowance to get another ball! In my adulthood, and being gainfully employed, I discovered these balls ,,, the so called "Spaldeen" on a now defunct website. Well ,,, the... Read more |
